Upon arrival at the Airport you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to the SGR Train Terminus for your journey to Voi. Relax and enjoy the scenic 5-hour ride through Kenya’s countryside as you make your way toward the wild heart of Tsavo.  At Voi Town, you be picked up and be escorted to the sanctuary. Upon arrival at the park gate where your entrance formalities will already be taken care of you’ll proceed to the lodge for check-in and a well-prepared, hearty lunch.  Nestled between Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks, the sanctuary serves as a vital wildlife corridor and dispersal area, making it a haven for countless species. The rugged, mountainous landscape unfolds in breathtaking panoramas of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the Taita Hills, with a seasonal river gracefully winding through the valleys and plains. As the sun sets over the savannah, enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight stay at the lodge, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the African wilderness.

Wake up to the gentle sounds of the African bush and set out for an early morning game drive, the best time to witness the wilderness come alive. Watch as the sun’s first rays paint the savannah gold, revealing herds of elephants, graceful gazelles, and perhaps even the stealthy movement of a big cat on the hunt.  Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and spend the late morning relaxing and enjoying the lodge’s serene facilities—perhaps a dip in the pool or simply soaking in the sweeping views of the sanctuary.  In the afternoon, embark on another exciting game drive, offering yet another chance to photograph Tsavo’s diverse wildlife in their natural habitat. The nearby waterholes attract a constant stream of animals, allowing for remarkable close-up viewing right from the comfort of the lodge.   As evening falls, unwind with a delicious dinner and enjoy your overnight stay at the lodge, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of nature.

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and bid farewell to the wild landscapes of Tsavo. You’ll be transferred to the Voi SGR Train Station to board your coach to Mombasa, a scenic two-hour journey that showcases the shifting beauty of Kenya’s countryside from open plains to lush coastal terrain.  Upon arrival in Mombasa, you’ll be warmly received by our transfer representative who will escort you on a one-hour drive to the serene South Coast. Feel the air grow warmer and the scent of the ocean grow stronger as you approach the turquoise shores of the Indian Ocean. Arrive at your beachfront resort in time for evening tea, then unwind and spend the rest of the day at leisure—listening to the waves, strolling along the beach, or simply relaxing after your journey. Drift into the coastal rhythm as you prepare for the next chapter of your adventure.

After breakfast, set out on a half-day excursion to Wasini Island and the historic Shimoni Caves, a fascinating blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Traveling on a shared transfer, you’ll make your way to the coastal village of Shimoni, where your adventure begins. Hop aboard a traditional Swahili dhow and glide across the turquoise waters toward Wasini Island, a coral paradise adorned with white sandy beaches and hidden tidal pools teeming with vibrant marine life. Explore the island’s charming village paths, marvel at its coral formations, and learn about the deep-rooted Swahili culture and history that have shaped this coastal haven.  A basic local-style lunch will be served, offering you a taste of the coast’s authentic flavors before you sail back to the mainland.  Return to your resort where you can relax, enjoy a refreshing swim, or simply watch the sun melt into the horizon. Dinner and overnight at the resort

Wake up to the soothing sound of ocean waves and a gentle sea breeze drifting through your room. Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace a full day of relaxation and exploration along Kenya’s enchanting South Coast. Stroll along the sun-kissed white sandy beaches, dip your toes into the warm turquoise waters, or wander through the nearby coastal town for a bit of shopping and local discovery. It’s the perfect time to pick up unique souvenirs and soak in the laid-back charm of Swahili culture.  For those seeking a touch of indulgence, unwind with a spa treatment at the resort (available at an extra cost), or dive into adventure with a variety of water sports from snorkeling and diving to paddleboarding and sailing.  As the sun sets on your final night by the sea, savor a delicious dinner and reflect on the incredible experiences of your journey from the wild plains of Tsavo to the tranquil beauty of the coast.  Dinner and overnight at the resort.

Wake up to your final morning by the ocean, where the gentle waves and salty breeze bid you farewell. Enjoy a leisurely beachside breakfast, taking in the last glimpses of the sparkling Indian Ocean before your journey home.  After breakfast, check out and transfer to Ukunda Airstrip for your midday flight to Nairobi, carrying with you unforgettable memories of Kenya’s wild savannahs, majestic landscapes, and serene coastlines. Your 6 Days, 5 Nights Tsavo and Coastal Adventure comes to an end but the magic of Kenya will stay with you long after you’ve returned home
